682. Description: GEORGE NORTHUP (WYOMING, B. 1940) ORIGINAL BRONZE MARINE WILDLIFE SCULPTURE, a handmade glass-top with game fish pedestal base over black marble foot. Artist signed NORTHUP and dated (1986; limited edition no. 4/28. According to George this was one of his finest bronze sculptures he ever created. He actually went under water to see how the fish interacted with the water. The glass top was handmade and is a piece of art itself.

Dimensions: Height - 24 inches.

Condition: Very Good to excellent given its age which is 1986.

Artist George Northup: Living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Northup has been a sculptor for over 25 years.
His work can be found in corporate and private collections across the country and throughout the world. He has created a series of bronze and copper lamps that feature sculpted wild trout accented under a table light with a buffed copper shade. In addition, George has teamed with legendary painter Bob Kuhn to create an exquisite migrating elk sculpture.

George spends many weeks each year traveling and researching his wildlife and sporting subjects. He continually is pushing his creative mind in new directions with fellow artists, his family and his friends. He spent several days flying with top Naval combat aviators who treated him to a super-sonic jet ride.
